Found this via a toot by Simon Frankau, who argues that many of the touted benefits in this article are in fact drawbacks! If you are focused on programming by the individual or (very) small team, then you are not able to solve problems that are within the scope of a large collaborative team.

I think a Forth enthusiast would argue that a language like Forth moves the line of what you're capable of — that things that would “normally” only be tractable by a large team become tractable by an individual or small team.
